Shannon McGee
Yoga Instructor/owner
Shannon has been practicing yoga for over 25 years and teaching for almost 15. She integrates essential oils into her classic Vinyasa Flow classes. She was first drawn to yoga for the excellent "workout" but soon discovered the spiritual benefits surpassed the physical practice. Whether you are a serious athlete, or just want a serious challenge, she will help you find the focus, clarity and strength to reach your full potential. Her class encourages students to find their own moving meditation by connecting breath with movement. Fun, high energy, upbeat music helps to cultivate a relaxed environment. Students will experience an accessible class that will help them tap into the physical, emotional and spiritual strength waiting inside them. Shannon’s work has appeared in various publications including winning “Yoga Journal” magazine’s nationwide Talent Search which featured her specialty, arm balances.
Nancy Puleo
Yoga Instructor/owner
Nancy has been teaching yoga for over a decade. She is a RYT 500 hour certified instructor. Nancy became intrigued by the physical alignment of the body through her classical training as an actress and a dancer. Through injury, she discovered Pilates and for over 15 years explored its benefits of core strength and body alignment. Her first experience with yoga was purely for exercise and physical strength. She soon discovered she couldn't maintain strength without connecting breath, the necessary tool to fuel the body and clear the mind. Her classes incorporate this philosophy by teaching a powerful flow that unlocks hidden inner strengths and fortitude to change and heal the body, mind, and life. Students will begin to optimize their physical fitness, while bringing serenity to their minds and nourishing their spirits.

Lia Gravier
Yoga Instructor
Lia has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. Her practice began as a counter balance to the wear and tear her body felt from miles of running the big loop in Central Park. She still loves to run and credits yoga for keeping her on the trails! In 2010, her family moved from the city to Bronxville. She continued to run but found herself spending more time on the yoga mat and recognized that beyond stretching, the most important benefit of yoga was to her overall well being. When life has been challenging she has found that being on her mat in the community of the classroom is where she can connect with herself and find an inner calm.
Shannon & Nancy have been Lia's teachers for more than half her time as a yoga student! The sense of belonging and warmth that they bring to the classroom along with their dedication to the practice have always inspired Lia and have guided her to a deeper connection to her practice. In the fall of 2023, she completed the Yoga Love NY 200YTT. She strives to create a sense of community in her class while leading students through fun flows with upbeat music to find their inner strength and calm.

Passionate about creating and supporting yoga teachers, Cara is a Yoga Alliance continuing education provider, and 500 Hour teacher training facilitator.
Cynthia Acerra
Yoga Instructor
Cynthia is a native New Yorker who has had an extensive career in law enforcement. Fitness has always been a part of her life and essential to her field, however it was also a great tool in relieving stress associated with her job. In 2017, Cynthia began practicing yoga regularly and recognized the amazing effect it had on her well being. Not only was it challenging physically, but it better equipped her with the ability to face stressful situations with mindfulness.
In 2022, she traveled to Costa Rica for a yoga retreat, where she was fully immersed in the practice, pairing yoga with meditation daily. She returned home feeling rejuvenated and recharged. She felt compelled to share this feeling with others, convinced that a need for it existed, especially in the law enforcement community. She decided the most effective way to share the benefits of Yoga with others was to become a teacher.
Not long after, Cynthia found Yoga Love NY. She took a class there and fell in love with the vibe and the warmth of the teachers. In Fall of 2023 she completed the 200YTT with Shannon and Nancy.
Expect Cynthia’s classes to be challenging, fun, and upbeat. Come with an open mind and a sense of humor. Her love of music is displayed with an eclectic playlist. Beware, you may catch her singing along!
